Game de Hakken!! Tamagotchi Version 2 (ゲームで発見！！たまごっち2) is a Nintendo Game Boy game released on October 17, 1997 in Japan. It features ocean- and forest-dwelling Tamagotchi characters, both which would later be adapted to the Mori de Hakken! Tamagotch and Tamagotchi Ocean. The player starts the game playing as Mikachu in her house. There are 2 tanks in the middle of the room: one with plants and one with water - both empty. It is possible to leave the house to walk around the city or search for Tamagotchi Eggs. In the forest east to the city Mikachu should find a Mori Egg and on the beach - an Umi Egg. Both eggs are put into the tanks and immediately hatch. The Mori hatches into a Babymotchi and the Umi into a Planktontchi. Minigames: The game features 3 minigames: Guessing Game - There are 12 cells covered with sand. The player should guess under which one a heart is placed.
