KotOR 2 is supposed to be better than the first entry in the series (the dark second chapter, and all that), but the beginning of the game feels a bit slow. The protracted prologue was increasingly tiresome despite its well-executed survival horror-esque atmosphere, and the various fetch quests on Citadel station failed to provide a much-needed change of pace. Maybe it's just that I'm coming to this game a bit too late, but I remember KotOR 1 being at least a bit more lively and interesting even early on. That might be nostalgia talking, though, since I haven't played Bioware's original Star Wars RPG in ages...
