This installment of 'playing some sports games' features a game that I played countless hours...NBA Live 2000. This game was the first of many in the Live series, featuring the legends of the sport from 1950s to 90s heyday, 1 on 1 challenge mode, Michael Jordan, and still remains the last NBA Live game where you could save mid-game. Why is saving during mid-game important? I don't really know, but why did EA see it necessary to take it away in subsequent games, it is like an itch that refuses to go away! The game really did so many good things in kindling my interest in basketball and remained so until my Voodoo 3dfx card got broken. More than a decade later, installing this game on a modern computer wasn't easy, and running it even less so. I had a WinXP machine specifically prepared for older games, but the game's default OS of choice back then was Windows 98. My goodness! Has it been that long already?
