Kirby's Dream Land 3 © 1997 HAL Laboratory Inc © 1997 Nintendo Kirby's Dream Land 3 is the last first party SNES game released in the United States. It is also ULTRA SUPER RARE and as such very difficult to find in the market. Finding my copy took a few years. You can spend a lot less effort (and money!) buying the game through alternate means. The game has been rereleased a few times on the Wii and Wii U Virtual Consoles, as well as included on the Kirby Dream Collection. I'll be playing the original SNES version in this series. Can't beat original versions and authenticity! Representing the final big push of SNES tech, the game is pretty much the pinnacle of 2D spritework on the system. Like Yoshi's Island, it uses a chalk drawing theme, except pushed even harder in this game. As far as gameplay goes, it's the usual left to right scrolling adventure. with the addition of a mission objective in each stage, which to me feels very inspired by the Super Mario 64 gameplay structur...
