Back in 1981 when the Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord hit the shelves, there were 6 character party's and Hobbits. The game was made by Sirtech. With Sony running Wizardry Online, they have done a lot of things right especially the game mechanics with the attributes, and percentage rolls to determine situations. As will as the in depth storyline and puzzles which are through the old game, are here in this game as well. Another true to the original Wizardry are the Elves race and the Mage Class. They are spot on with this class, as will as Mages are pretty weak early on. if I remember correctly, there were also Wizards and Sorcerers. Casters have to be careful early on but can be amazingly deadly as they level. They are slow and it requires timing in your attacks. Also there is a 7/7 max level of certain spells just like the original 7 levels of spells. More damage (caster) or healing (priest) depending on type of spell as you gain the higher tier.
