This is where the RAC franchise gets most of its reoccurring staples regarding combat and how the following games are typically played. Ratchet receives special commando training in this game, and is assigned a mission by his new boss befitting of a newly formed commando. As you may see throughout this playthrough, Ratchet's tactics have improved drastically as well as his weaponry, gadgets, defensive and offensive options alike. This game focuses more on the progress of Ratchet as a character, since in RAC1 Ratchet's character may have been a bit one dimensional in comparison to characters like Clank or Qwark.
