Sonic Adventure had a lot of mixed reviews from gamers and critics. Some praised the transition to 3D, others were not so impressed. The controls were the biggest gripe for most players, which I can promise you do get used to. The level design is the issue with most of the game, some of the stages allow the controls to shine, and others are just a headache due to the layout. You eventually play as the whole cast of characters, each having unique abilities and missions that cater to their abilities. This is the only 3D sonic game that I have ever liked. It could just be the nostalgia talking, with this game being my first taste of the dreamcast, but I really would consider this a great game, and I still have fun whenever I play it.
